Psalms Classes 2025-2026

What Are The Psalms?

A collection of poetic prayers - used liturgically in ancient Israel (during the time of the Second Temple and, in some cases, during the time of the First Temple) - many of which are said to have been written by King David - and which are still very much in use today, including in our Kabbalat Shabbat services and for comfort and healing.

Have you read them all?  Let's take a journey together!

In 2025 - 2026, Shirat HaNefesh will host a series of classes, which will give us an opportunity to read and study The Psalms.  Classes will begin AFTER the High Holy Days.
Come join us.  All are welcome.

The Classes will include:

MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!  We will begin our studies after the High Holy Days.  Below are details regarding our class schedule.

More information will be coming later.  In the meanwhile, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to let me know.

We will have 15 one-hour daytime classes, during which we will have the opportunity to "make our way through" all 150 of the Psalms (though we will focus our class time on some, more than on others).

We will also have three 90-minute nighttime talks, each one focusing on a specific topic.  The first nighttime talk will serve as an Introduction and Overview and will take place before we begin the daytime classes.

All sessions will be over Zoom.  The "line up" is listed below.
