It’s been a heavy couple of years in Israel. First there were 9 months of nonstop protests regarding the weakening of Israeli democracy, and then October 7th happened – something that was unimaginable. And now, here we are in the beginning of 2025 with the unthinkable still going on. 
 
We are a community that holds many different opinions. Yet the one thing that holds true is that our opinions and feelings about Israel change over time. In this case, starting with how we felt about Israel when we were younger, through all the differing feelings that we’ve experienced since the beginning of the war. 
 
So, on April 27th we will gather to acknowledge the complex and challenging time that this is in Jewish history. We will respect and validate each other’s feelings and points of view through deep listening. We will leave that morning feeling heard and respected.
