Discuss Jewish funeral traditions & Brunch

Sunday, March 16, 2025 16 Adar 5785

10:30 AM

Planning a Jewish funeral is one of life’s most sacred responsibilities. Please join us for a morning session to answer questions and to assist you and your family in understanding Jewish traditions and also discussing your personal wishes. Caring for the deceased with dignity and respect is considered one of the highest mitzvot (commandments). Preplanning and relieving family members of burdensome and quick decisions at the time of mourning is a blessing.

Members and friends of Shirat HaNefesh are invited to our adult learning program with Rabbah Arlene Berger and Glenn Easton, executive director of the Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park.  Shirat HaNefesh has been a Partner Congregation for the past decade in the Garden of Remembrance (Gan Zikaron) Memorial Park in Clarksburg, Maryland, with a congregational section in the 150-acre nonprofit memorial park.

While walk-ins are welcome, we encourage RSVPs to ensure adequate brunch supplies.  Please RSVP to: Ira Zukerman, by emailing him at zukerman.family@comcast.net, or calling at: (301)742-2743, and look for a confirmation he’s received your RSVP.  In-person attendance is encouraged, but a Zoom link will be provided.
