To repair the world so that it manifests the Divine.

Jewish social justice activities are often called Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world. Justice is one of two values (peace  is the other)  that we are commanded to “pursue,” not just perform. The Tikkun Olam committee works to provide practical means to this pursuit such as information on switching to renewable energy, mentoring refugees, feeding the hungry, and improving community relations.
